Tasty Tuesday: Forgotten Visions 8/14
Welcome back for Tasty Tuesday! If this is your first time, it is where I give you an excerpt of one of my books. And since it's blog tour week one for Forgotten Visions, I'm sharing a snipet. Enjoy!
She pushed the button on the steering wheel to end the call. A yawn took hold of her, and she wished she had stopped at the last rest area. Her eyes burned and she blinked repeatedly to try to relieve some of the sting from driving fatigue, while the urge to rub them strongly tugged at her. Relief washed over her at the sight of the Charlotte exit sign indicating her exit was next.
A few minutes later, a car sped by and jumped over into her lane. She gasped, heart dropping to her abdomen as she jerked the steering wheel to the right to avoid hitting the other vehicle. It was too late. Metal scraped metal as the vehicles collided. The impact shoved her car off the road. Everything happened so fast, she couldn’t concentrate or grasp onto reality. Her heart pounded furiously behind her ribcage as a rush of panic filled her. Kalissa hit the gas instead of the brake. The Benz barreled off into the woods and slammed into something hard. The airbag deployed into her face, slamming her head into the driver-side window. Sharp pain shot through her skull. A blaring horn was the last thing she heard before falling into the dark void of unconsciousness.

Manic Monday Updates: Revisions and blog tours
Happy Monday! And it the first Monday of August. Where did the year go?
I've been working hard on revisions for Death's Storm, adding details and defining the characters more. I still have to double it, but that's not a big deal. I pantsed this book so the draft is a little thin. LOL. My goal is to have it my editor by the end of August. I don't have a release date, but I can say it will out in late Fall 2012.
From August 13 - 27 I will be on tour with Forgotten Visions. I'm excited to be able to share Ayden and Kalissa with everyone. There will be a tour wide giveaway of a $25 gift card--winner's choice of Amazon, B&N, or ARe, and a swag goodie pack. So keep a watch out for more information and links.
If you haven't signed up for my newsletter, I encourage you to do so. I send it out every quarter (January, April, July, and October) with more in-depth updates and book news and giveaways! I also send out notices such as blog tours, book releases and special events. The signup link is on the left side panel.
Thank you, everyone, for stopping by and showing your support. Feel free to contact me with questions or just to say hi. I love hearing from fans. lia @ liadavisnovels(dot)com.

Introduction of the Divinities' world
When I started
writing, I wanted to create something different. Something unique, yet
believable. I merged magic--both light and dark--with the “real world”. Witches
and demons live and work among humans. Although humans know about witches, they
choose not to believe in supernatural powers and they believe demons can’t
break out of hell. Ignorant is bliss and all that.
For centuries, the magickin--magic born beings--communities
had allowed and back up the humans’ choice of not knowing. They live in peace
with the don’t-tell-and-we-won’t-ask relationship, not bringing any extra attention
to themselves.
Now that peace is
being threatened. Again.
The demons are back
with a new leader and a new hunger for world dominance. And the Divinities are
the humans and magickins only hope
for survival.
It begins with
Ayden and Kalissa’s story, Forgotten Visions. Childhood sweethearts that were
separated by a spell fifteen years are brought back together by tragic events
to fight in the war between witches and demons.

Tasty Tuesday: Forgotten Visions part 2
It's Forgotten Visions release week!!! One more day! YAY! I'll be happy dancing for the next month. lol. Today's tasty picks up from the teaser on my main blog. You can find that here. Enjoy!
Forgotten Visions, coming July 11 from Soul Mate Publishing
Zach reached out to Kalissa, rubbed her arm with one hand, and took Khloe’s hand in his other to draw her into a comforting brotherly hug. “I know,” he said, making Kalissa look into his golden-brown eyes. “I’ll handle it,” he told her. “Do not investigate this on your own. I mean it, Kalissa. If you find something or have more visions, let me know. I don’t want you to suffer the same fate.”
He knows something.
Agreeing with Khloe’s telepathic acknowledgement, Kalissa traded glances with her sister. She pushed the thought aside, for now, and scanned the scene once more before she climbed back into her car.
A man wearing a ball cap pulled down low to hide his face stood a few feet away among the growing crowd of onlookers. There was something about him, something familiar. She narrowed her eyes, focusing her gaze on him. He suddenly lifted his head and looked directly at her, as if he felt her stare. Their gazes locked.
A scene from her earlier vision popped in her mind. This man had stepped out in front of her parents’ car. She concentrated on that scene, stilling it as though pushing a pause button on a TV remote. His eyes and the eyes of the man lookpeering back at her were similar. Kalissa walked toward him with no idea of what she was going to do when she reached him. Was this the same guy, and if so, why had he caused the accident that took her parents away? By damn, she wanted some answers! And Mr. Ball Cap looked guilty of something.
The man moved away from her line of sight, ducking farther behind the crowd. She increased her pace. When she arrived where the man had stood only moments ago, he was gone. Had she imagined the whole thing?
Thanks for stopping by. For more tasty treats check out the blog blogs.
